WIN DOUBLE FOR CARDIGAN

Division 3 west A

Cardigan 33 Llangwm 5

Cardigan completed a win double over Llangwm as expected although they did make hard work of it at times and had they taken their chances they could have been well out of sight by the hour mark.

Skipper Castle

The Cardi’s welcomed centre Marcus Castle back to the fold following an ankle injury and he was made captain following the departure of John Lumb to pastures new and he led by example with some fine breaks through the middle of the field.

Tom Taylor gives the eyes!

Along side him outside half Emyr Harries also made some impressive bursts as did number eight Tom Taylor who produced another polished performance along with flankers Bedwyr Davies,Sam Trevor and returning second row Sion Phillips .

Rhydian Jenkins

Experienced right winger Rhydian Jenkins raced in for an early try and there were tries also for Castle, stand off Harries, back rower Taylor and Jenkins with Wasps number eight Josh Hicks claiming the solitary Llangwm try following a break from deep. Harries also added four conversions.

Next up for Colin Davies and his men is a very difficult assignment away at division leaders Milford on March 2. The Mariners lost their unbeaten record on Saturday to Llanybydder following thirteen wins on the bounce.
