Llechryd enjoyed a comfortable win over local rivals Crymych last night in the opening round of the Alan Brown Cup at the Castell Malgwyn Ground.
The Preselimen were put in to bat in this 20 over thrash and they struggled for runs and they ended their innings well short on 61-9 with front line bowlers Rhys Beard and John Curran taking most of the wickets
The Teifisiders made light work of the run chase and all rounder Curran, who top scored with 36 led the way and he found useful support in Ian Carter who made 24 and fellow all rounder Beard who also hit double figures as Llechyrd got over the line with plenty of overs to spare.
