Three goals from Cardigan Town striker Liam Doherty paved the way for a comfortable victory in the final of the Youth Cup and ensured that the silverware returned to the Magpies trophy cabinet for a second year running.
Doherty who is a regular with the first team, struck twice in the opening half and added another after the break to seal a well deserved victory against a plucky Stars outfit who started very well.
The Llanddewi Brefi based team appeared to have taken an early lead and deservedly so after fifteen minutes but their goal was ruled out and Cardigan were soon in control after this. Ewan Jones, another first teamer was the other Cardigan scorer.
