League Cup round 2.
Five times winners St Dogmaels marched through into the third round of the League Cup after they inflicted a 6-0 defeat upon local rivals Cardigan Town in very soggy conditions at the School Field.
The Magpies were missing a few key players with the absence of influential midfielder Ben Davies through injury their biggest loss but the all round performance of the Saints would have tested any Town outfit.
The star of the show for the greens was undoubtedly former Magpies striker Louis Harding who came back to haunt his old team mates with four goals and he was a handful throughout with his excellent close control and pace. He was though indebted to some quality distribution throughout from midfielders Rhys Jones and Adam Williams with the latter setting up all four goals for Harding. Jones also got on to the scoresheet and there was one for Dan Jones
Lampeter Town who last picked up the trophy in 2013 were just too good for Maesglas who were on the end of a second caning in as many weeks. The Blues who were woeful in the opening quarter played some splendid football at times especially in the second half but found themselves 7-2 down at the break as every Lampeter chance seemed to find the back of the net. However they battled hard throughout and never gave up the fight. Scott Davies claimed a hat trick for the second game in succession and there were three also for fellow front runner Jason Jones, two for hard working midfielder Christy Gale and one for Marc Evans. On target for the visitors were Kyle Chillery, Kieran Harman and Steffan Evans.

Division One
Newcastle Emlyn moved to within three points of leaders Lampeter after they cruised to a 7-1 win over Dewi Stars despite being without a number of key players and not having a recognised goalkeeper.
The reds played some decent football in difficult conditions albeit against a team that are struggling and they were three goals ahead at half time after new signing from Llandysul Adrian Hazelby had completed a well taken hat-trick. There could well have been a few more goals with Daniel Davies and Cory Davies missing some very good opportunities.
Second half substitute Ashley Summers, another recent signing, also got on the score sheet before the young Stars side hit back with a goal from Liam Jones which was finished with aplomb. Late substitute Daniel Jones added the fifth and further goals from Jake Kelly and Hazelby completed the rout.
Felinfach climbed up into a respectable mid table position after they defeated local rivals Aberaeron Reserves by 3-1 thanks to goals from Nathan Spowart, Lee Forrester and Josh Roper.
There was only one game in division two with Crannog Reserves enjoying a 2-1 success over Lampeter Reserves and in division three St Dogmaels Reserves were easy winners over SDUC where experienced striker Jonny James made the most of some poor defending to poach four goals. There were two goals apiece for Joe Wood and Callum Phillips and a single for Mark Newell. The matches between Felinfach Reserves and Llanboidy Reserves and Maesglas Reserves versus Ffostrasol Reserves were rained off.
