Cwpan Dai Dynamo Semi Final.

St Dogmaels will head into this evenings semi final clash with Crannog with injured team mate Chris Jones very much in their minds.

Jones suffered a serious leg break in the quarter final against Newcastle Emlyn and the saints would dearly love to lift the trophy for this popular player.

However to do this they have to overcome a decent Crannog team who have already booked a place in the final of the League Cup and it was they who defeated league champions Llandysul in the opening round of this competition.

St Dogmaels manager Steve Williams has a full squad to choose from and confirmed that his troops were raring to go:” Yes we are looking forward to what we know will be a very tough game but it would be nice to win this competition for Chris as he has helped us get this far.

“We have everyone available apart from him ofcourse and if we play as well as we can there is no reason why we can’t make it through to the final.”

Skipper Jason and Craig Williams

Williams will be looking towards the likes of Marcus Dean and Rhys Jones to get him some goals as they have been in good form whilst midfielder Adam Williams and experienced campaigners in Ioan Owen and Chris Morgan have a knack of scoring important goals.

Another dangerous player is Mindugas Simkevicius and he has impressed manager Williams in recent weeks

Skipper Jason Williams will lead from the heart of defence alongside Craig Williams and Justin Smith but Crannog may look to exploit the area just in behind with their big physical players in Huw Reed and Mike Glover adept at heading the knock downs or threading the through balls to speedy raider Colven.

Dylan Davies

Crannog are without experienced play maker Chris Welch and he also misses out on Easter Monday because of work commitments and he will be a big loss but they have plenty of talent in midfield to make up for this in the shape of brothers Dylan and Rhys Davies and the more physical Reed and up front they have a prolific goal scorer in Colven alongside veteran Gary Davies who is very canny and holds the ball up well.

The two sides met last week at the School Field in a league match and St Dogmaels played very well on the night and came through for a well deserved 2-0 win. They will have to produce a similar performance tonight to get through to play Felinfach in the final on May Day.

Kick off in Lampeter is 7.30pm.
