Llandysul opening bat Rhidian Harries led his side to an impressive win in Division One over Maesteg Celtic after he carried his bat for a fine innings of 82.
Harries stroked the ball to most parts of the ground and cleared the boundary rope three times to add to seven 4’s that he patiently accumulated during his sparkling innings.

The visitors, who have been struggling this season, won the toss and elected to bat and were soon in trouble when opener Mathew Rogers was caught by Tom Harries off the bowling of Iestyn Evans after only facing two balls. Gareth Hopkins managed to steady things until he was caught by skipper Daryl Griffiths off the bowling of Evans for 18 and he was soon followed by opener Nick Poole who was caught behind and the visitors were rocking on 57-3.
Dan Miller chipped in with a useful contribution of 37 not out but his team ended their 50 overs well short at 144-5 with Farooq Shah taking a couple of wickets late on to cap another spell of excellent bowling. Cardigan Town midfielder Iestyn Evans was also impressive and he returned figures of 2-18 off his ten overs which included five maidens.
Openers Tom and Rhidian Harries made a steady start with a 30 run partnership before Tom Harries was caught by Nick Poole in the slips and number three batsman Iestyn Evans was to follow soon afterwards when he was leg before off the bowling of Chris Hicks. Further woe was to follow as Llandysul slumped to 36-4 with Ieuan Paske clean bowled by Glen Lawler without scoring and Carwyn Evans suffered the same fate when he was adjudged leg before to the same bowler.
The winning target looked a long way off for the hosts at the mid way stage but number six batsman Ben Edkins got his head down and along with Harries compiled a stand of 107 before Edkins was eventually out on 39 off the bowling of Luke Wilson with Llandysul only needing two runs for victory.
These came very soon afterwards when Harries clipped the ball through midwicket to steer his team to a comfortable win with nine overs to spare.
