Crannog reached their second semi-final of the season after they overcame the challenge of a well organised Llanilar side by 2-1.
The Llangrannog outfit face Cardigan Town in the semi-final of the league cup this week and Dylan Vaughan Evans and his men are looking a good bet to lift some silverware on current form.
This game started at a high pace, with a young and talented Llanilar side well marshalled by the evergreen and much travelled Huw Bonner at centre back, and they worked very hard to close any space down as early as possible.
The hosts struggled to find any rhythm early on but there were chances created at either end and both goal keepers were called upon a couple of times to make sharp saves with the visiting custodian making some impressive stops and the half ended at 0-0.
Home manager Evans changed shape and brought on four substitutes at halftime and this seemed to work as his team dominated the play and forced some more saves from the visiting goal keeper, with a one on one save from Dylan Davies the pick. Llanilar never gave in and absorbed the pressure and against the run of play they hit an upright from distance and minutes later following some flowing football they took the lead when Ryan Hopkins netted.
Crannog kept their composure and continued to play good football, and with 15 minutes left, their dominance was rewarded when a great cross from Mathew Smith was brilliantly controlled and finished by Owen Thomas to square matters.

The Cambrian Tyres outfit then suffered another blow when Bonner had to leave the field with an injury and Crannog added another soon afterwards when Owen Thomas bagged his second and ultimately the winner with a cool finish into the bottom corner.
Llanilar threw everything at Costcutter League opponents for the final five minutes with, at one point all eleven of the visiting team in the4 home penalty box waiting for a corner.
However skipper and defender Mike Glover and colleagues in the shape of Rhydian Roberts, Huw Reed and goal keeper Rhydian Morgan worked hard to keep the visitors out and they managed to see their team through into the semi final.
