Crymych RFC dinner tonight will crown an amazing season
There will be an array of silverware on the table this evening when Clwb Rygbi Crymych celebrate an outstanding season and particularly so in terms of its impressive junior structure, which continues to roll out quality players year after year.Writes Andrew Clarke.
The roll of honour of this well run community club which lies deep in the heart of Welsh speaking Pembrokeshire makes impressive reading and there is not a club in West Wales that can match it.
The youth team enjoyed triple success after winning the Griffiths under 18’s cup by beating Neyland 38-5, the Pembrokeshire Youth cup where they accounted for Pembroke Dock Quins by 22-0 and to cap it all, Ifan Phillips and his team went through the entire league season undefeated.
The second team retained the District Union Cup by defeating Whitland by 32-6 and the first team captured the Pembrokeshire knock out cup after beating Tenby by 36-17.
Crymych first team finished the season in division one west in a very respectable mid table position and the future looks very bright for the Preseli men as they have some wonderful talent coming through the ranks. Next season a finish higher up the table is a likely target.
Should be a night to remember!
