KICK OFF THE NEW YEAR WITH A FREE GYM, POOL AND SAUNA MEMBERSHIP FOR TWO PEOPLE (share and like to win.)
As a New Year gesture Coracles Cenarth Health & Country Club have donated a free one month pass for two people to enjoy their fantastic facilities. See below for details.
NEW YEAR PLANS?
Are you one of those people who spends the first week of the year walking through your life, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched, goals to achieve and improvements to be made?
Well maybe this year, to balance the list, perhaps we need to walk through the rooms of our lives…not looking for flaws, but for potential!
If you want to make 2017 count, you’ll need to be intentional. This happens not by just setting goals, but by making space in your life for what matters.
Remember lots of little improvements are easier to realise and sustain than the major life changes that you used to promise yourself.
Small steps are important and is by far the most effective way to move in the right direction long term.
Set goals for yourself and make them attainable. If you haven’t been to the gym in five years but you want to become healthier and fitter, do not resolve to hit the gym every single day starting in the first week of the year! Remember small steps!
If you go at a pace that you can manage, you’re more than likely to stay the course. Make your goals realistic, attainable and most importantly give yourself credit when you reach them.
How about a swim followed by a chill in the steam room or jacuzzi or just a session in the gym and all for free for a whole month?

New Year New Me projects are all well and good but in reality just because we flip the calendar over, we don’t automatically get a clean slate. The bills from 2016 will follow us into 2017 and the commitments we made to others are still looming. New Year’s resolutions aren’t going to magically fix anything.
Most people abandon their resolutions before the end of January because they don’t take small steps and it is usually an all or nothing plan that gets ditched once the month is out. However if you start slowly and build, your foundations will keep you up for longer.
What would you like to do more of in 2017?
Exercise at any age can boost our self-esteem whether it be a swim a brisk walk or a long jog – it can improve the way we look and how we feel about ourselves.
Swimming is a great way to help you shed body fat and maintain a healthy weight and it will also help improve your heart and lungs and relax your mind. It will also help build endurance with a much lower impact on your joints than running so that your risk of injury is lower too.
Taking a dip is perfect for shifting your January blues as well!! – a major study found that swimmers increased positivity by 35% after putting in some lengths. Swimming releases endorphins and relaxes your mind in a similar way to yoga – but with more intensity and the fitness benefits are much greater.
The best thing of all about swimming? It’s ideal for any level of fitness and caters for anyone – whether you’re just starting to get fit or training for a triathlon.

Throw out your frying pan! Pull the steamer out from the back of the cupboard. Hide the bread maker! Bin the biscuit box!
As the saying goes, try everything in moderation, including moderation! Otherwise, it won’t be long before your resolution fails.
Modify your habits with simple steps to improve your health and fitness.
Take the stairs and not the lift!
Walk or cycle to work even if its raining!
Take up a new hobby that encourages exercise.
How about photography, gardening or painting the fence!!
BUT MOST OF ALL HAVE A LOOK AT:
Me Time!
Simply a period of time during which you relax by doing something you enjoy without an ounce of guilt!
If all you are doing is filling up everyone else’s cups without refilling your jug, you will run dry, and if you run dry, you will lose your balance. Make some time for yourself and go for a walk on the beach, through the woods, along the river or over the mountains. We are surrounded by beautiful beaches and wonderful countryside.
What about a swim?
Treat yourself to lunch

Get a massage
Or push the boat out and indulge yourself in a spa day
