Division three leaders Llechryd produced a superb team performance to defeat Pembroke Dock by 52 runs at the Castell Malgwyn field.
Pembroke Dock 152 all out
Llechryd 204-5
Captain John Curran once again led by example and hit a splendid knock of 63 before he was run out but his useful contribution set his under strength side up for a total that was never really threatened.
The Teifisiders were missing a few key players and Curran had to draft in a few of his St Dogmaels football colleagues in Adam Williams and Steve Williams and his father Steve, a former regular with Llechryd CC but they were still too good for the visitors.
Curran and Dewi Davies opened on a wet wicket and got the hosts off to a steady start before Davies was out for 35 but Steve Smith steadied the ship with 30 valuable runs and he was followed in by Gwion Howells who made a very quick 42 and Llechryd completed their innings on 204-5
Steve Alford with 2-38 and Nick Daley with 1-55 were the pick of the visiting bowlers.
Luke Murray was the stand out player in the visiting batting line up and he made 86 but he and his team were eventually skittled out for 152 with Mark Newell with 3-47 and Adam Williams with 2-22 doing most of the damage but they were well backed up by fellow bowlers Rhys Beard and Peter Betterly
Division 4
Llechryd 2nds were well beaten away at Carew 3rds after they were bowled out for 106. Joe Mansfield with 19 and Andrew Davies with 20 were the only batters to trouble the scorers. Andrew Fletcher was the pick of the Llechryd bowlers and took three wickets. Mark Hicks top scored for the hosts and made 36 and Jeremy Griffiths chipped in with 22 to steer their team home to a comfortable victory.
