The racing was hard and fast at the Crugmore Farm track on Sunday with an entry of over 100 bikes for the opening round of the Welsh Classic Scrambles hosted by the Teifyside Motor Club near Cardigan.
A last minute change of venue from Pantgwyn, Llangoedmore was handled smoothly and the early morning hail and rain gave way to a sunny but chilly day for the large crowd in attendance. Featuring from Newcastle Emlyn were veteran twin shock racer Dylan Davies but he was overshadowed by the performance of Kyle Noble who had a superb afternoon and claimed three race wins ahead of Anthony Guest on a 480 Honda and Andy Mills on a 490 Maico. Kyle’s brother Keelan in his first championship meeting also showed a great deal of promise on his Maico and his father Gareth will have been very proud.
In the Pre60 / Pre65 / Metisse class, Pete Hollinshead and Andy Carter were the stand out performers along with Steve James whilst ‘super veteran’ Terry Challinor, the club President of Teifiside Club rode strongly for two 3rds and a 5th on a 650 Triumph Metisse.
