Costcutter League Round Up.
Division One
Newcastle Emlyn produced a solid all round performance to defeat Aberporth and consolidate their position in the three horse race that is developing at the top of division one.
The reds 5-2 success against the airmen has increased the gap between them and fourth placed Felinfach to a dozen points with Cardigan and St Dogmaels occupying the top two positions and the winner of the Norman Llewellyn Memorial Trophy will surely come from this inform trio.
Outstanding for the visitors was two goal hero Jake Kelly (pictured above) who was in the thick of the action all afternoon and another to impress was wideman Dion Davies who caused the Aberporth defenders plenty of problems down the left flank.
Davies was on target with a sharp turn and strike from an acute angle as was Dorian Davies and experienced defender Steve Hicks with Mathew Smith firing home from the penalty spot for the airmen and Rhys Glover also netting for the hosts when he took full advantage of a slip up in the reds defence.
Reigning champions St Dogmaels were stung early in their game against Lampeter Town when they went behind to a Gethin Hunter goal but they came back strongly and dominated for long periods before running out worthy winners.
Hunter struck after only five minutes when a long ball over the top caught the Saints defence flat footed and the ball was duly dispatched past keeper Carl Woodbridge and into the net. The greens came straight back at the visitors and levelled matters when powerful striker Louis Harding was on target before industrious midfielder Rhys Jones made it 2-1 to the hosts.
Further goals were to follow as the league leaders stamped their authority with Harding bagging a second and Adam Williams completing the scoring to make it 4-1 in a game well refereed by John Williams.
It was one way traffic at Llanddewi Brefi where the home side suffered their heaviest defeat for some time as Crannog fired home seven goals without reply. The Stars who had not played for a few weeks were soon behind and there were none better for Crannog then young striker Sion Mason-Evans who bagged four goals.Others to add their name to the score sheet were Steffan Jones, Robbie Evans and Brynle Morris (pictured).
The honours were shared at Felinfach with visitors Llanboidy making their long trip worthwhile with a point. Huw Davies and front runner Keiron Boyes provided the goals for the milkmen whilst for the Cae Dandre team, Elis Williams and midfielder Rhys Jenkins were on target.

The Llangrannog men who remain unbeaten since September were forced to work hard against a gritty home side but they eventually came through thanks to goals from Dan Robinson, Rhydian Roberts and Jack Davies. Daniel Davies poached a goal for the Saints. Aberaeron Reserves bounced back from a disappointing defeat at the hands of Crannog last time out to overcome the challenge of Lampeter Reserves by 3-0.
