NEYLAND HALT LLECHRYD RUN

Pembroke County Cricket League

Division 4
Llechryd 2nds 166 for 6 (7) lost to Neyland 2nds 169 for 4 (28) by 6 wkts

Unbeaten division leaders Neyland 2nds were the visitors to the RDM Oval and it was soon clear just why they are at the top as they had the hosts struggling early doors after wickets tumbled with Rob Mansfield (27) the only early run getter for the hosts.

Another good knock
from Roberts

However skipper Ollie Roberts (61) and middle order colleague Andrew Fletcher (51) knuckled down and both hit patient half centuries as they gave their side something to bowl at with a total of 166-6 on the board. Fletcher in particular led the way with some excellent running between the wickets and he kept the score ticking over. Gary Lloyd 2-23, Rhys Beavis 2-39 and Jamie Smith 1-33 were the chief wicket takers.

Neyland started very brightly in their run chase with young Callum Power (32) and Lewis Page (28) looking in good shape and they were well served by Rob Hughes who made a very useful 36 and the Neyland batsmen knocked off the runs for the loss of just four wickets with Peter Gregory 2-22 and Neil Croucher 2-43 taking the wickets.

Crymych 30 for 1 (30) beat Haverfordwest 4ths 29 all out (0) by 9 wkts

After a narrow defeat the weekend before Crymych bounced back with a convincing nine-wicket win over division strugglers Haverfordwest 4ths at Glandy Cross. Haverfordwest were bowled out for just 29 with all rounder Neil Crawshaw top scoring with 19. Ioan Davies with impressive figures of  5-4 and James George with 4-22 cleaned up for the Preselimen and they had no problem knocking off the runs in quick time.
