Pembroke County Cricket League
Division 2
Kilgetty 81 all out (2) lost to Llechryd 82 for 1 (30) by 9 wickets
Llechryd managed to get the job done in double quick time at Kilgetty to retain their top spot in division two and their eagerly awaited clash with second placed Narberth in a few weeks will surely decide the championship.
Third in the table Hook crashed to a five-wicket defeat at Pembroke Dock, a result that left the leaders 69 points clear of Hook and it is now very much a two horse race.
John Curran and his men tucked into their after match refreshments long before many teams in Pembrokeshire had changed over after tea as Kilgetty were bowled out for just 81 and Curran and co knocked off the runs very quickly for the loss of just one wicket.
Curran won the toss and inserted the hosts and this looked to be a wise decision when the skipper picked up a couple of early wickets and had it not been for the contribution of Kyle Marsh who made 26 Kilgetty would have struggled to reach fifty.
The visiting bowlers were well served in the field with some excellent catches sticking with both Curran and Johnny Lewis claiming two of the best.
