Llechryd 2nds 292 for 5 (30) beat Haverfordwest Fourths 75 all out (4) by 217 runs
Llechryd skipper Ollie Roberts bagged his second century of the season at the RDM Oval on Saturday and had he not graciously walked down the wicket on 110 he could well have hit another fifty or so, such was the gulf in class between batsman and bowlers.
In form Roberts took advantage of some generous bowling and fielding with most of the visiting team forced out on to the boundary ropes as he smacked the ball around and he offered up several catching opportunities which were never taken up. However a century is a major achievement at any level and he was given warm applause when he left the field in recognition of another fine effort.
Haverfordwest struggled to raise a team but they must be saluted for regularly fielding four teams on a Saturday afternoon. Their side contained several young teens who to their credit never let their heads drop as the new electronic scoreboard struggled to update such was the avalanche of runs.
As expected the visitors struggled with the exception of Seth Woodhouse (10 no) and were bowled out for 75 after only 25 overs with Duncan Blackburn (2-0), Tom Beard (2-15) and Neil Croucher (2-5) picking up wickets.
St Ishmaels 2nds 229 all out (30) beat Crymych 89 all out (7) by 140 runs
Crymych faced a huge target to chase against St Ishmaels and one which they never threatened as they were well beaten. Tish with the help of Stephen Williams 51 and Daniel Flynn 77 managed to post a total of 229 with Rhodri Thomas (2-35) and James George (2-53) the pick of the Crymych bowlers. There were wickets also for Rhydian Thomas, Alistair Davies, Daniel Jones and Richard Thorne.
In reply Thorne was once again in decent form with the bat and carved out an innings of 32 and Dan Jones made 28 but the visitors were never in the races and they were skittled out for 89 and 140 runs short with Ieaun Hawkins (4-27) and Kevin Bowen (3-30) doing most of the damage.
