Ceredigion League Cup and League round up.
Former winners Cardigan Town were knocked out of the Ceredigion League Cup after they were beaten by Llanboidy at the King George field whilst elsewhere there were wins for Llandysul, Crannog, Aberaeron Reserves and Ffostrasol.
This win on Town turf was the second one for Llan in just a few weeks after they sprung a narrow success over the same opponents in a league encounter and they were well worth their win in this very entertaining affair as they played some splendid football, especially in the final quarter.
The visitors started the second half very brightly through the likes of Celt Thomas-Jones and Ross Mc Donald and they levelled matters when young keeper Steff Marsden directed a superbly struck corner kick into his own net.
Division one high fliers Crannog edged out reigning league champions Lampeter Town by 2-1 thanks to goals from Gary Davies and George Colven. Luke Lovell netted for Lampeter whilst at a windswept Parc Troedrhiw two goals from Sion Evans helped steer Ffostrasol to a comfortable 4-0 win over New Quay. Also on target were Dafydd Phillips and Gwynfor Bowen.
At Aberporth the home side were edged out by Aberaeron Reserves by 2-1 with Rhydian Davies and Llewelyn Lloyd the goal scorers for the Seagulls.
Felinfach made the most of some generous defending by visitors Dewi Stars to fire home seven goals without reply. The star of the show for the milkmen was front runner Kieron Boyes who bagged four goals to cap a fine display whilst others to cash in were Jason White, Rhys Davies and Rhys Jon James.
In the second round of the Cwpan Coffa Dai Dynamo Davies Llandysul came through for a 2-1 win in their local derby with Newcastle Emlyn. Both sides were missing key regulars but this tough battle could have gone either way with Emlyn and Llandysul guilty of missing decent chances.
The deadlock was eventually broken when midfielder Lewis Jones put the Swallows in front with a splendid chip from the edge of the box in the first half and Jessie Clayton doubled their lead ten minutes after the break. The visitors replied when Daniel Jones fired home to set up an interesting last ten minutes but Llandysul held out for place in round three.

League leaders St Dogmaels increased their gap at the top to eight points after they cruised to an 8-0 victory over Bargod Rangers at the School Field.
On target for the greens was Louis Harding who bagged a brace as did Jack Thomas and Chris Morgan whilst there were singles for Peter Almond and Reece Prowse.
In the only game played in division two Newcastle Emlyn Reserves enjoyed a win over Maesglas thanks to goals from Ashley Stevens, Robbie Jenkins and Pawel Grazelka whilst in the Reserves Cup the honours were shared between Llanboidy Reserves and Felinfach Res at Cae Dandre after the match ended at 2-2. Richard Thorne and Dafydd Jones were on target for the hosts who looked on course for a win until the visitor netted in the final minute courtesy of an own goal. Crannog Reserves also enjoyed success as they fired five past Maesglas Reserves.
