Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth & District League
Midweek round up
Bow Street Reserves suffered their third defeat on the bounce when they were undone by Bont at Cae Piod and it capped a miserable evening for the club as their first team lost away at Aberaeron.
Chris Wilkins, Andrew Gilbert and Garin Evans provided the goals for a Tangerines outfit that have won their opening three matches and they go head to head with unbeaten title rivals Penparcau this weekend.
Penparcau bagged another three points to consolidate their lofty position at the top of the table after they accounted for Talybont by 4-2. Andrew Gittins was on target once again and he bagged a brace as his team ran into a 3-0 first half lead with Liam Jaques also netting. The visitors hit back with a couple of goals after the break as Penparcau took their foot off the gas but they were well worth their 4-2 success in the end with Jaques bagging the final goal for Penparcau.
There were goals galore at Machynlleth but it was the visitors who scored most of them as Llanilar ran riot and coasted to a 10-2 victory.
Guto Roberts grabbed a hat trick and there were two apiece for Shon Morgans, Ryan Edwards and Rhydian Owen. There was a single also for Dewi Evans.
There were no shortage of goals at Cae Baker as Tregaron Turfs fired home nine goals with both Rhun Garner and Llyr Davies claiming hat tricks as their side romped to a 9-3 victory. Caradog Daniel, Ifan Jones and Llion Thomas were also on target.
There was no joy for Padarn United either as they went down to Tywyn Bryncrug Reserves by 3-1.
