League Cup Quarter Final
Cardigan Town 4 Felinfach 1
Reigning league champions Cardigan Town who have endured a season to quickly forget may well end the term with some silverware as they are only one game away from the League Cup final on Easter Monday.
The Magpies who have not reached the heights of last season with so many players having left for pastures new or who are just not playing anymore are a match for anyone on their day as they proved against Lampeter Town a few weeks ago.
Felinfach whose team had suffered greatly from Six Nations rugby fever were unlucky not to go ahead when Lee Forrester tucked the ball home but referee Rhys Steadman ruled it out for an infringement which was hotly disputed by the visitors.
Town regained their lead just before the break when skipper Iestyn Evan’s free kick was blocked by the Felin wall but he fired home the rebound and a second from Ewan Jones put Cardigan almost out of sight. The milkmen to their credit stuck in there for large periods and managed to work a few chances of their own with the best of these falling to Rhys James and Szymek Parcheta but they were unable to make them count from close-range.
