A local trials bike enthusiast, nine year old Harry Drewitt from Rhydlewis was recently presented with the Welsh Motorcycle Federation Trial Championship – D Class trophy for the second year running. By Anwen Francis
“To win the award this year means so much for us all,” explained his mum Leanne Pittam.” His father recently suffered an accident and spent three months at the John Radcliff Spinal Unit in Cardiff suffering from central cord syndrome and for a period, was paralysed from the neck down. Harry’s had a lot to deal with, but still managed to gain his points and win!”
This is Harry’s third season competing at trials bike riding where he faces technical obstacles and his feet must not touch the floor.
