Harry, a pupil at T Llew Jones School was elated to have won the trophy again, presented to him at the annual awards dinner at the Elan Valley Hotel, Rhayader. 2016 has been a difficult year for the family, and winning the award has made it all worthwhile.

“To win the award this year means so much for us all,” explained his mum Leanne Pittam.” His father recently suffered an accident and spent three months at the John Radcliff Spinal Unit in Cardiff suffering from central cord syndrome and for a period, was paralysed from the neck down. Harry’s had a lot to deal with, but still managed to gain his points and win!”

This is Harry’s third season competing at trials bike riding where he faces technical obstacles and his feet must not touch the floor.

“It’s fabulous he has won. I am such a proud mum and Harry thinks it’s great to have won again,” added Leanne who has been taking her son, who is supported by Pure Adrenalin and BoostBike, across south and west Wales to compete at these events over the 2016 season. “He will now move onto the C Class and hopes to win the championship in that round too. It’s early days and the first competition will be held in March and we are all looking forward.”
