COLEMAN A BIG HIT AT EMLYN BASH

Wales team manager Chris Coleman was the guest of honour at the Newcastle Emlyn FC fund raising dinner held at the Cliff Hotel on Saturday night.

Coleman meets Tommo

The highly successful and entertaining evening was kicked off by Radio Cymru presenter and former local footballer Andrew Thomas aka ‘Tommo’ who commenced proceedings with a few stories and anecdotes before introducing Wales supremo Chris Coleman and former TV and radio pundit Ian Gwyn Hughes the one time Bury and Blackpool centre back, who is the current head of Public Affairs at the Football Association of Wales.

This was followed by a Question and Answer session between Ian and Chris which revolved mainly around Wales’ successful campaign at the recent European Championships in France and a few witty questions from the crowd.

“I must thank our hosts, The Cliff Hotel and their staff as they did a superb job and helped to make it an amazing night.

“Chris Coleman who was in big demand for photos and autographs was very down to earth and a really nice bloke and he didn’t disappoint whilst Tommo kept it all running smoothly.”
