CARDIGAN WRAP UP THE LEAGUE TITLE

Cardigan wrapped up the Ceredigion County Bowls League championship in the final match of the season against main title rivals Lampeter despite actually losing the game on the night by the narrow margin of five shots overall.

Four points would have been sufficient to claim the title on overall shots difference for the season.

Cardigan won three out of the four rink matches in this title decider with a home four of Colin James, Mike Williams, Paul Edwards and Kevin James posting the best score and winning by eight shots against Steve Entwhistle and co and captain and skip Paul Monders leading his trio of Marc James Sid Freemantle and Dilwyn Jones to a four shot success over Henry Jones and his three.
